Wedding Cocktail Hour Music: Ideas and suggestions for the best combination of music styles!

The Cocktil Hour is an important part of the Wedding and to choose the right music it's a big task for most couples.

Wheather you are hosting your cocktail hour at your ceremony or reception venue, or outside like a park or beach, having music to entertain your guests will always be welcomed and will set the tone for the rest of the celebration.

So what style of music is appropriate and what kind of  an ensemble should play it? - The right answer is: The type of wedding music played during your cocktail hour will depend greatly on the mood you are trying to create.

If you are having traditional style wedding it's better to choose a String Quartet or String Trio/Duo. The style of music can be mix of light classical and some pop songs from the 90's, some jazz and original versions of the  Vitamin String Quartet.

For a modern style of wedding you can choose an ensemble consisting of a Piano and String Duo, Trio or even with a String Quartet. Adding a Flute or Saxophone would make it even more colorful. The playlist may includes: Pop Songs by all contemporary singers: Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, John Legend, Adele, Pharell, Lady Gaga, Riahhna, Byonce, Coldplay, Train, Maroon 5, etc.

If you are a big movie fan also can choose different themes like Game of Thrones, Frozen, Aladin, Beauty and The Beast, Harry Potter, Lord of the rings, Pirates of the caribien, etc.
